During my 2024 New Product Development Engineering co-op at SharkNinja, I worked alongside engineers, industrial designers and product developers on the StainForce HX101. My work connected three parts of the product: the Grab & Go Caddy, the impeller and the physical user experience.
Shark StainForce portable cleaner
Consumer product development for a cordless spot-cleaning system, from portable storage and airflow hardware to setup, use and cleanup

Product development
Caddy design
I designed and iterated the caddy that holds the cleaner, spray bottle and accessories. It had to make the full system easy to carry and store while keeping every part visible, accessible and secure.
The design work covered loading and unloading the components, carrying the system by its central handle and returning each item to a clear home after use.

Impeller and integration
I contributed to the impeller design and its integration within the handheld cleaner. The work connected airflow performance with packaging, manufacturability and the surrounding product architecture.
Physical user experience
I mapped the complete physical sequence around the cleaner: reaching for the system, carrying it to a spill, managing the spray and cleaner together, emptying the unit and putting everything away.
That sequence helped us design the caddy, cleaner and accessories as one product rather than separate components.
